The honest answer, first
The WattHacker monitor works with two gateways today: the SunPower PVS6 (and PVS5) and the Enphase IQ Gateway, also sold as an Envoy. If that is not what you have, it will not work for you today, and we would rather you found that out here than after buying one.

That is a narrower answer than most sites would give you, and there is a reason for it. WattHacker exists because SunPower went bankrupt in 2024 and switched off the app several hundred thousand owners relied on. Those owners have no vendor to go back to. Most other solar owners do — and if your manufacturer is still trading, their own monitoring is free, supported, and for many people a better answer than ours.

What we can and cannot do for the systems people ask about most. "Their app" below means the manufacturer's own monitoring, which in every one of these cases is still running.

If your row says "not supported", the useful next step is almost never us. It is your own manufacturer's app — and if you want your data out of it and into something you control, most of these have an active Home Assistant community that has already done the work.
So why fill in the form?
Three situations where hearing from you genuinely changes something:
- Your manufacturer has gone dark too. Vendors keep failing, and the next SunPower is the one we would want to be ready for. If you have been cut off, that is the strongest possible signal.
- Their app works but tells you nothing useful. Plenty of monitoring shows a live number and no memory — no history, no per-panel detail, no explanation of why your bill went up. That gap is what we actually build for.
- You have a PVS5. We need real hardware to verify against, and that is a short, concrete list we are actively trying to fill.
It goes to the founder directly. You will get a straight answer about whether your system is on the list — including "probably not, and here is what I would do instead", which is the reply a fair number of these get.

Common questions
Does WattHacker work with Enphase, SolarEdge or APsystems?
Enphase yes, as of September 2026 — the monitor reads an IQ Gateway or Envoy over your own wifi. SolarEdge and APsystems, not today. If your system is from a company still trading, their own app almost certainly still works and is free, and for many owners that is the better answer than ours.
Will you add support for my system?
Possibly, and which one comes first is decided by who asks. There is a form on this page for exactly that: your name, your email and a note about what you have. It goes straight to the founder. We would rather build the one that a real queue of people are waiting for than guess.
Why these two and not every system?
Because every gateway speaks its own protocol, and doing one properly is worth more than doing five badly. SunPower came first for a reason: the company went bankrupt in 2024 and took its app down, leaving owners with no vendor to go back to. Other manufacturers are still in business and still running their own monitoring, so the case for us there is about what their app does not show, not about rescuing anyone.
I have a SunPower PVS5 — does that count?
The PVS5 exposes the same local interface as the PVS6, so the monitor was built to work with both. We have not had a PVS5 on the bench to confirm it, so we will not claim it works until we have. If you have one and want to be one of the units we verify against, say so in the form on this page.
Do you sell or share the details I put in this form?
No. Your name, email and note go into our own database and to the founder's inbox, and are used only to reply to you about your system. We do not sell user data and we do not add you to a marketing list.
